The ACGT and CSIR will be hosting a Synthetic Biology Forum on the 24th
of August 2011. The programme includes presentations on the South
African BioDesign Initiative, iGEM and the current synthetic biology
initiatives at CSIR and WITS. The keynote address will be given by Prof
Julian Kinderlerer on the ethical issues of synthetic biology. The
event is generously sponsored by Inqaba Biotec. Please see the
